Online Gambling
Over the past couple months we have seen many changes in online gambling. Neteller pulling out of US then Canada, other payment processors leaving the US, making it nearly impossible to players to purchase credits are casinos, poker rooms and sportsbetting sites. Now this was a set back for many gambling sites, but they have come up with solutions around the problem and gamblers are still able to play. Some good news has been that Barney Frank is trying to get the bill changed so that online gambling can exist, however it looks like he may be doing this more for the US landbased casinos. Which could go against the free trade treaties which have been in question for some time. In WTO the US lost a battle with Antigua which many online casinos operate from, that the US must allow online gambling. The US has not complied as of yet. The US is very good about wanting other countries to comply with issues they have, but they don’t show the same consideration to others. Big bullies actually which is not what the WTO was designed for. HMMM
